Saving

  • Plastic gloves and paper towels are free from most petrol stations.
  • Sugar , salt and sauce sachets etc are available from most cafes.
  • Matches - free from hotels , bars and restaurants.
  • Postcards . Usually found in places like coffee shops trendy bookshops librarys and cinemas -odeon.
  • rubber bands - ask your friendly postman for these he/she will usually give you a handful for free .
  • wrapping paper - ask your local florist to sell you a roll of their paper wrap for the flowers. It is usually a lot cheaper than standard wrapping paper , it is massive ,can be used for most occasions and should only cost you a few pounds.
  • Newspapers and magazines- save money by reading them at your local library or on the internet.
  • Shopping - never shop when you are hungry or you will end up spending to much

  • Dolmio - printable coupon for stir and serve 30p off
  • Tetley tea - contact them and ask for a voucher or sample to try before you buy usually they send you a £1 voucher

Finding

  • Bottles - got to your local library and enquire / researsh where the victorian bottle dumps in your local area were / are  then go and see what you can find. On one visit to my local victorian bottle dump i found no fewer than 20 complete bottles all attractive and collectable. A quick wash and they are ready for selling or using as pretty ornaments.
  • Furniture and household stuff - If you see a skip with household furniture etc in dont be afraid to have a look and salvage anything you feel you can give a new home and a new lease of life
